Resume du projet et des travaux a executer
1-      Description sommaire du projet general
Les travaux du present appel d’offres s’inscrivent dans le cadre d’un projet de renovation du pavillon 532 de l’Universite de Montreal situe au 3200 Jean Brillant a Montreal. Ce pavillon est constitue de 3 blocs :
Bloc A : Maximilien-Caron
Bloc B : Jean-Brillant
Bloc C : Lionel-Groulx
Le projet consiste a renover sur une periode de deux (2) ans trente-six (36) salles de cours et huit (8) amphitheatres du bloc B.
Phase 2 : Realisee a l’ete 2010, cette phase consistait a la renovation de vingt-quatre (24) salles de cours et deux (2) amphitheatres incluant la mise a niveau des services de supports a l’enseignement de ces salles, des travaux majeurs d’infrastructures de l’ensemble du pavillon.
Phase 3 : Consiste a renover les salles d’enseignement restantes soit douze (12) salles de cours variant de capacite de 30 a 100 places et six (6) amphitheatres variant en capacite de 197 a 750 places ainsi que la renovation des corridors et les autres locaux du Bloc B.
       Pour l’ensemble des salles de cours et amphitheatres, des travaux de desamiantage, de peinture, de finition de plancher, de mobilier, d’electricite, de gicleurs, de ventilation, d’audio-visuel et de distribution du reseau data sont prevus.
       Pour l’ensemble des autres locaux, des travaux de desamiantage, de gicleurs, d’electricite, de ventilation et de remplacement de plafonds sont prevus.

Les travaux sont divises par lots et par disciplines. Chaque lot est octroye a un entrepreneur specialise en :

2-     Portee des travaux du present appel d’offres : Lot MB-A-104A / Architecture
Le lot d’architecture du present appel d’offres vise tous les travaux generaux relatifs a la finition des amphitheatres et des corridors adjacents dont sans s’y limiter:
-          Demolition
-          Demolition en condition d’amiante
-          Systeme interieur
-          Peinture
-          Travaux de betonnage
-          Plancher
-          Metaux ouvres
-          Maconnerie
-          Ebenisterie
-          Joint coupe-feu
-          Ragreage de l’ensemble des percements
-          Plate-forme de travail

L’entrepreneur agira a titre d’entrepreneur specialise en architecture pour tous les travaux ci-haut mentionnes.

La portee des travaux du present appel d’offres est pour tous les travaux relatifs a la finition de six amphitheatres ainsi que les corridors adjacents aux amphitheatres situes au niveau  N00 et N2 du bloc B.  L’entrepreneur aura a realiser tous les travaux specifies aux plans et devis d’architecture et de structure joints au present appel d’offres.


Les travaux d’enlevement et d’installation du mobilier, de plomberie, de mecanique, d’electricite et de protection incendie seront octroyes separement a des entrepreneurs specialises.

De plus, l’entrepreneur aura egalement a travailler simultanement avec un autre entrepreneur specialise en architecture dans les locaux adjacents (salles de cours) a ses propres travaux.


Avertissement : L’entrepreneur specialise a qui sera octroye le lot 104A ne pourra se voir octroyer aussi les travaux du lot 104B (Salles de cours, corridors et autres locaux). En ce sens, l’entrepreneur qui soumissionnera sur ces deux lots devra choisir l’un ou l’autre de ces lots advenant qu’il serait le plus bas soumissionnaire des deux cas. Le lot de travaux non selectionne sera alors attribue au deuxieme plus bas soumissionnaire.

Summary of the project and work to be performed


1 - General Description of project


The work of this tender is part of a project to renovate the pavilion 532 of the University of Montreal located at 3200 Jean Brilliant Montreal. This flag consists of 3 blocks:


Block A: Maximilien-Caron


Block B: Jean Brilliant


Block C: Lionel Groulx


The project involves the renovation over a period of two (2) years thirty-six (36) classrooms and eight (8) amphitheatres block B.


Phase 2: Made in the summer of 2010, this phase involved the renovation of twenty-four (24) classrooms and two (2) amphitheatres including upgrade services to support teaching in these rooms, major infrastructure works throughout the pavilion.


Phase 3: Consists of renovating classrooms or remaining twelve (12) classrooms ranging in capacity from 30 to 100 seats and six (6) lecture halls ranging in capacity from 197 to 750 seats and the renovation of corridors and other premises of Block B.


       For all the classrooms and auditoriums, asbestos removal, painting, floor finishing, furniture, electricity, sprinklers, ventilation, audio-visual and data distribution network is provided .


       For all other premises, asbestos removal, sprinkler, electrical, ventilation and replacement of caps are provided.

The work is divided into batches and by disciplines. Each batch is awarded to a contractor specializing in:

2 - Scope of work of this tender: Lot A-MB-104A / Architecture


Lot architecture of this tender covers all general work on finishing the amphitheater and adjacent corridors including without limitation:


- Demolition


- Demolition in a condition of asbestos


- Internal System


- Painting


- Concrete work


- Floor


- Fabricated metals


- Masonry


- Woodworking


- Joint Fire


- Patching of all openings


- Work Platform

The contractor will act as a contractor specializing in architecture for all activities mentioned above.

The scope of work of this tender is for all the work on finishing six auditoriums and corridors adjacent to the amphitheater located at N00 and N2 block B. The contractor will have to perform all work specified in the plans and specifications, architecture and structure attached to this tender.
The work of removal and installation of furniture, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and fire protection will be provided separately to specialized contractors.

In addition, the contractor will also work simultaneously with another contractor who specializes in architecture at the adjacent premises (classrooms) to their own work.
Warning: The specialized contractor to be awarded the prize 104A will also be awarded the work of Lot 104B (Classrooms, hallways and other spaces). In this sense, the contractor who bid on these two lots will have to choose one or the other of these lots that the event would be the lowest bidder of two cases.
